February Highlights

February began with students enjoying the snowy weather. It was a joy to see all the photos of the children playing in the snow. Throughout the month, our classes have been engaged with a variety of topics, including lighthouses, South America, and birds. Kindergarten students took an active role in our lighthouse studies by designing blueprints for the lighthouses that the middle schoolers will be constructing for the upcoming Lighthouse Showcase.

Looking Ahead to March

In March, our focus will shift to learning about Africa, reptiles, and continuing our exploration of lighthouses. On Thursday, March 5, the kindergarteners will visit The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center in Topsail to discover more about sea turtles. Please remember to send your child with a disposable bagged lunch and a water bottle, and have them dressed appropriately for the trip.
