It has been a very busy month in the Sea Star Class. We have been learning about fall, the pumpkin life cycle, parts of the pumpkin, vertebrates, and invertebrates, and we will finish the month with land and water forms. On October 10, the kindergarten students went on a field trip to the Ingraham Planetarium. They learned more facts about the moon, sun, and earth.
In November, we will start our continent studies with North America, focus on the United States, and have our annual state parade on Thursday, November 9. If you still need to sign your child up for a state, please use the link below to choose one.
Thursday, November 2, the kindergarten students will go to Poplar Grove for a field trip. Please remember to send in your child’s permission form if you have not.

We will also learn about indigenous people, gratitude, Veteran’s Day, parts of the turkey, and the deer.
Parent-teacher conferences are on Wednesday, November 1. I look forward to seeing you all and sharing how your child has adjusted to school and what they have been working on during the first two months of being at school.
If you have not attended the volunteer workshop, please use the link below to fill out the Google form and watch the video so you can come into the classroom to volunteer.

Due to parent-teacher conferences, there will be no school for students on November 1. Friday, November 10, is Veteran’s Day, and the school will be closed, and November 24 – 27 for Thanksgiving break.
Ms. Alyssa and I are grateful for the opportunity to teach your children. We wish you all a happy and safe Halloween.
In Peace,
Ms. Samara and Ms. Alyssa
