October has been busy as we’ve explored pumpkins, fall, families, the world, land, air, water, nutrition, and Halloween!

In November, we will start our new unit studies focusing on North America and the United States. Our annual States Parade is scheduled for Friday, November 8th. If you haven't done so, please sign up using the Signup Genius link.

Halloween is on Thursday, October 31st. Please have your child come to school dressed in orange and black, as costumes are not allowed. We have planned a fun day filled with crafts, songs, Halloween stories, and a special snack.

Thank you to everyone who has signed up for conferences. I look forward to speaking with you on Friday, November 1st.

The Kindergartners will have their next field trip on November 5th, where we will visit the fort at Fort Fisher. Kindergarten parents, please watch for a permission slip in your child’s Friday folder.

Please note that school will be closed on November 11th for Veterans Day and from November 27th to 29th for the Thanksgiving holiday.

We wish you all a fun and safe weekend!

In peace,

Ms. Samara and Ms. Jodi
