February 23, 2024

February has been a very busy month for the Sea Star class. We learned about reptiles, presidents, Groundhog Day, and Valentine’s Day. We had a lovely time during the Valentine’s Day Brunch. It was wonderful to see so many parents attending this event. I want to thank Kai, Mila’s brother, for coming to our class to talk to the students about Indonesia and Mark, Phoebe’s dad, for teaching us about Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. It is so meaningful when visitors come and talk to the children about other countries.

Parent visits start next week. If you have not had a chance to sign up, please use the link below to reserve your spot.

In March, we will focus on Spring, Dr. Seuss Day, St. Patrick’s Day, South America, birds, and insects.  The kindergarten field trip to Alligator Adventure is on Friday, March 1. If you have not sent in your child’s permission slip, please do. Friday, March 8, is a teacher workday. There is no school for students. Parent-teacher conferences will be on Friday, March 29. More information will be sent home at a later date. On Tuesday, March 12, the kindergarten students will go on a field trip to the Cape Fear Museum. Permission slips will go home on Friday, March 1.

We appreciate all the time and support you give our class; your children’s smiles brighten our days.

In Peace,

Ms. Samara, Ms. Alyssa, and Ms. Zoey
